9th International Festival of Boys Choirs &
European Football Championship of Boys Choirs

Poznań Boys' Choir would like to invite for the 9th International Festival of Boys Choirs, which is a continuation of festivals initiated in the sixties by Jerzy Kurczewski.

During the Festival, boys choirs meet not only on musical stages, but also on a football field, where they will fight for the title of European Football Champion of Boys Choirs. The championship is an official event accompanying Poznań’s preparations for Euro 2012.

The organisor – Poznań Boys Choir, led by Jacek Sykulski – has this year invited six foreign choirs: Trinity Boys Choir (Great Britain), Czech Boys Choir (Czech Republic), Boys Choir “Azuoliukas” (Lithuania), The Jazeps Medins Music School Boys’ Choir (Latvia), Kapela Khlotpchikau (Belarus), Tampere Boys Choir “Pirkanpojat” (Finland) and two choirs from Poznań: “Poznańskie Słowiki” (“Poznań Nightingales”) and the Poznań Cathedral Choir. During the festival the choirs will preform in Poznan as well as in other cities of the Wielkopolska region.

We would also like to invite you for two special festival concerts: Concert of Marcel and Nikodem Legun with the Poznań Boys’ Choir on the 16th of November 2010 in Franziskaner Church, Plac Bernardynski in Poznań and the Final Concert which will be held on the 20th of November 2010 in the Poznań University Concert Hall.
